The Pink Room

The Loveworks Pink Room is our newest project.  We first created The Pink Room for Peats Ridge Festival 2006.  It was so successful that we created a bigger, better and  much busier version at Sydney's Big Day Out 2007, where we looked after more than 200 people on the day.

The Pink Room is a first aid add-on - a comfortable, colourful, welcoming first aid reception, waiting and recovery room.  We've used it with both St Johns and Unimed first aid services.  The Pink Room is staffed by qualified volunteer nurses, drug and alcohol workers, paramedics, and social workers.  And let's face it - in an emergency you can't have too many of these people on site!

We believe one of the biggest dangers at events is that people who need first aid won't get it because they're intimidated by first aid's official image, uniforms, forms and lack of ambience and comfort.  We  promote the fact that this service does not require names and addresses.  The Pink Room's cool look and feel is inviting, and we believe the "pink" theme will become widely known to patrons at events.

The Pink Room takes a tremendous load off existing first aid services, who often don't have the time to give drug-affected and intoxicated patrons the one-on-one attention they need to keep them calm and safe.  It also provides a space where friends and family can wait with first aid patients and our staff can provide cups of tea, water, blankets, pillows and so on.

The PInk Room can also double as the Lovesaver home base.   And it works very well as an add-on to our Chill Lounge.
