A good information stand is the hub of a festival and can greatly contribute to the well-being and enjoyment of your patrons. This is the first place they'll usually go with questions, problems and complaints. We have cheerful , caring and event-savvy coordinators and experienced volunteers who can make your Information Stand work so well. We'll not only handle the usual things, but also have a wide variety of handouts, maps and information on display about safe partying, local services, transport, and more.
Our coordinators know when it's important to bother the site office, security or first aid, and when it's not! And they make a big point of making sure they know where everything is and who to contact for what. (eg first aid, toilets, phones, transport, security, ATM's, water, pass-outs, lost property etc) before the event starts.
We usually have at least one Social Worker volunteering at the Information Stand, and we ask them to find out all about public services in the local area. We'll be able to direct people to hospitals, trains, buses, shops, and more. And if someone's upset or lost their money, they can help with some on-the-spot counselling, a donation of transport fares or spare clothing.
