Volunteer Services

Volunteers are an incredibly valuable resource which is all-to-often disorganised and under-utilised.  Volunteers services can be effective, accountable and efficient!  We have over 10 years experience providing and supervising volunteers for all sorts of events, and have a number of systems in place to keep volunteers productive, well-looked after, motivated and on task.  We have over 4000 volunteers in our database, including many with valuable qualifications and event experience.

Loveworks can provide a comprehensive and complete volunteer package, or just a few volunteers.  A large number of your event's services can be run with volunteers and experienced coordinators (ours or yours) - see the chart below.

We check three references for any volunteers handling money or stock, so you can safely use volunteers to generate income for your event:   We can also coordinate transport, entry, meals, and accommodation for your volunteers.

And this is what we'll do!

  • We'll work with you to determine the time-frame, numbers, skills and qualifications you want, and can even publish an application just for your event on our website, or create an application for you to publish on your website.

  • We can arrange insurance cover for your volunteers under our name or yours.

  • We'll contact the applicants, check out references for anyone who's handling money or stock, and roster the volunteers into small, effective teams with experienced team leaders.

  • We'll ask them to sign a contract confirming their position and times and acknowledging that they'll be invoiced for the price of a pass plus a cancellation fee it they don't meet their obligations.

  • We send them regular newsletters to build and maintain enthusiasm.

  • We'll also send them an Info Pack specific to your event with map, entry, transport, roster, and accommodation information.

  • We'll organise and run a smoothly operating volunteer entry.

  • We'll create and run a volunteer tent or room, where volunteers can sign in and off, get information, get their t-shirts, relax, have a cuppa, get their meal passes, etc ,etc.

  • You can provide volunteer T-shirts or we can provide generic "I'm a Volunteer"  T-shirts.  T-shirts are one more  way to keep volunteers recognisable and on task.

  • We'll provide experienced coordinators and supervisors.

  • Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in radio communication  your site office and key team coordinators so we can send the right volunteers where you need them.

  • We'll ensure the volunteers are accountable and provide sign on/off and reporting documentation for all team leaders and supervisors, as well as individual sheets for each volunteer.

  • We can organise volunteer services and amenities such as their transport, accommodation, rest area, first aid and meals.

  • We'll invoice any volunteers who don't fulfil the terms of their volunteer contract  for the price of their pass and a cancellation fee.

Fees:

Generally we charge on a per volunteer per day basis.  Rates range from $10-$20 per volunteer per day.  As volunteers usually work 4 to 6 hours a day,  this is a an affordable alternative to paying wages.
