Massage and Reflexology are incredibly popular at music and dance events, cause they feel soooo... good! Many people have never had a massage and it's an amazing experience for them. At Big Day Out Loveworks has more than 40 massage tables running all day and provides more than 900 massages... and we still turn 100's of people away! At other events we may have 8 - 20 tables running. Loveworks uses only qualified masseurs and reflexologists. Patrons can choose from a variety of massages including Neck and Shoulders, Full Back, and Full Body. Ka Huna Massage: KaHuna and Lomi Lomi massage is an ancient traditional style of massage that originated in the South Pacific. It has been used for many years as a means of transformation and healing. The therapists use flowing dance and Tai Chi movements as they move around the table. This is an incredibly popular, visually stimulating, and mentally, emotionally and spiritually uplifting form of therapy.
Reflexology and our "FAB FEET" Last year at Big Day Out we had little questionnaires we asked people to fill out. One of the most common requests was for "someone to rub my feet". Dancing, waiting in long lines, and hot weather can all be hard on the ol' pegs. Reflexology is known for it's ability to quickly relieve stress, increase well-being, and harmonise the body. Fab Feet: We have a great service called Fab Feet which includes a foot scrub, moisturise and massage or reflexology treatment,. At overnight festivals we include new cotton socks. Students: Student Masseurs and Reflexologists must have complete their massage studies, but they may still be clocking up work experience or clinic hours. You can often arrange with Loveworks and your college accreditation with supervised clinic and/or work experience hours when you volunteer for Loveworks. You generally volunteer for about half the event, and receive a free pass. We also give you a reference. Speak to your college or teacher about this opportunity. At most of our events therapists with their own public liability insurance will receive 50% of fees collected for their treatments. We usually charge $20/15min, $35/30min, and $60/1 hr.
