By staging the show on a Friday night in the lush environs of the Domain we've created an atmosphere that is welcoming for ALL ages, showcases amazing talent and is condensed into a beautiful evening under the stars. You will not only be rewarded by the sounds of your favourite artists, but also cocktail bars, global food fair, wine and cheese bars, pampering stations and other grown up stuff to remember us by. "

Loveworks is creating a feminine, therapeutic, pampering and healing village! A variety of massage therapies, natural beauty therapies, psychic readings, life coaching information, kinesiology, and more... And we'll have a stand selling organic coffee, herbal teas and gourmet pies.
This is a wonderful opportunity to support a good cause, tell the world about the benefits of natural therapies, and promote your services to an upmarket, savvy crowd. And enjoy a wonderful night. As well as 5000 or more working women from the city and beyond, there will be lots of media and entertainment industry people attending. This is a high profile event. Positions Available
Psychic Readers Please only reputable, ethical and experienced readers apply. We look for readers offering spiritual insight and life direction, not mere fortune tellers. (4 hours)
Beauty Therapists -manicures, pedicures and mini-facials. And perhaps mini-makeovers. You will need to bring any equipment, nail colours and disposables, but we supply great product by Wild Nature. We'll reimburse you for any of your own product or disposables you use. (4 hours)
Massage Therapists Remedial, Therapeutic, Swedish, Kahuna, Shiatsu, etc. (4 hours)
Hospitality (Barista, Waitress, etc) for our organic coffee and pie stand. (4 hours)
Reception and Ticket Sales Making bookings for our readers and therapies, and facilitating this process (4 hours)
Maintenance Ensuring our areas are kept clean and tidy, and the therapists have whatever they require (eg clean towels, water, etc) (4 hours).
Set up and Pack Down Crew (6 hours before and after event- please indicate when you're available on Friday from 8am - midnight)
Decorating Crew (6 hours before and after event- please indicate when you're available on Friday from 8am - midnight)
VOLUNTEER (or maybe work!)
Volunteers are wanted in all areas. Depending on application numbers, we may reimburse massage therapists, beauty therapists and psychic readers with up to 50% of their fees. As it says above, all proceeds after we've covered our basic costs (tents, flooring, table and chairs, power, disposables, etc) go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and this is a great opportunity to donate a few hours to a good cause, and promote your business or therapy. You can display your cards and brochures, and hand them to clients. You can indicate in the application below whether you want to volunteer or work...or perhaps be available for both.
We'll be asking volunteers to donate 6 hours of their time if helping before and/or after the event, and 4 hours if helping during the event. Of course more help is always welcome! Everyone gets a free pass and you're welcome to enjoy the show when you're not working.
Students are welcome. Massage students must have a minimum of Basic or Swedish Massage passes, and Beauty Therapists must be qualified in manicures, pedicures or facials. Students are also welcome to volunteer in our other areas.

Please note: It is a condition of working or volunteering for Loveworks that you check your emails regularly, as we generally don't have the resources to contact volunteers by mail or phone. Make sure you empty your mail box regularly, and check your mail at least twice a week in the 6 weeks leading up to an event, and every day in the actual week before the event. Our emails may end up in Spam or Junk mail folders as we email so much -check them! We may need to send urgent changes in rosters, gate entries, pass collection and so on. Some emails will require responses from you. We do our best to send them more than once if we don't get a response, but if this occurs often, or your mail bounces back, we will have to drop you from our volunteer database. We will send you a response to your application with 7 days. If you don't receive one, email us to ensure that we have received it and that we have the correct email address. We also strongly suggest that you bring a mobile phone in case you need to phone us (re entry, for instance).

Natural and Beauty Therapists Only Please supply your Public Liability Insurance Details
Note: Insurance may not always be necessary. You may come under umbrella volunteer insurance if you are qualified and don't receive any earnings from us or you may be a student working under your school's supervisor and insurance.) Qualfications: Unless you are a student coming under your college, as explained below, we will need a copy of your qualifications. Please fax, post or scan and email a copy. Ensure that we acknowledge receipt of the copy. Massage Students - Clinic Hours and Work Experience Your college may allow you to accrue clinic hours and/or work experience with Loveworks. We can provide qualified supervisors and all documentation detailing hours worked, duties, etc. You must have a minimum of Basic or Swedish Massage attainment.
Beauty Therapy Students can provide treatments in the areas in which they're fully qualified, eg manicures, facials, etc. Or they may wish to gain valuable experience assisting our beauty therapists.
We must have at least ONE of the following for you to be able to volunteer as a natural therapist.
A copy of your public liability insurance certificate...or
A copy of your natural therapist or beauty therapist qualifications certification
Students can provide a copy of their grades or letter from their college stating their level of attainment.
You may of course volunteer to provide other assistance without these documents.
Please fax, post, or scan and email us a copy of the required certificates. We will confirm receipt of the certificates by email. If you don't receive confirmation contact us, as it could affect your ability to volunteer at the event.

MASSAGE and BEAUTY THERAPISTS
No, I can't bring any equipment, sorry.
WHAT TO BRING: Please note Loveworks supplies towels for the massage tables, moist towelletes, rolls of paper to cover the tables (like doctors use), and paper towels. We also have massage oil but many therapists prefer to bring their own. Massage therapists need to bring any accessories you use, and a sarong or cloth to hold up while women take their shirts off. We have great organic skin care product for Beauty Therapists but limited equipment and disposables, although we do have small towels and foot spas. We pretty much rely on you to bring anything else you'll need but we're happy to reimburse you for disposables.
